Medicare’s Maximum Fair Price (MFP) changes are here, and we’re here to help you through them. If you’re still grappling with the new rules, read our latest blog, “Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program (MDPNP): The Effect on Independent Pharmacies,” which gives details on the program, how it effects pharmacies, and resources we recommend.
In addition, be sure to watch our short videos to walk you through exactly how MFP will appear in your workflow.
Wondering what’s happening with the next generation of LTC pharmacy software? Here are the latest product updates:
Enhanced Packaging Policies: You can now divide full quantity evenly between packages, ensuring that a package is filled to the max before adding quantity to sequential packages. You can also separate and print packages by SIG, where labels will print only customer-friendly directions assigned to the package.
Price Quotes: You can now identify when Per Diem items or Therapeutic Interchange items are used for a price quote—for both pharmacy and facility portal users.
Positive ID: You can now require and prompt for a positive ID within the workflow in order to comply with state regulations.
We're excited to remind you about the free new tool beginning to roll out in Service Pack 52: Clinical+ in-workflow prompts.
These prompts automatically identify opportunities to share patient education and adherence support. If you choose to complete a suggested action, your pharmacy can receive invoice credits for eligible programs!
After installing Service Pack 52, you may begin to see limited instances of Clinical+ prompts (e.g., for select drugs that are placed on hold during data entry). This initial functionality is part of a gradual, phased rollout that will continue in coming months.
