Use the new cloud-based RedSail Patient Chart to log and track patient clinical findings such as lab and vital measurements, allergies, social history, and history of present illness. This information, as well as patient problems and pharmacy-made consultations, can be documented in a Pharmacist Electronic Care Plan (PeCP) directly from the Patient Chart. The data can then be submitted to the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network (CPESN®) if the pharmacy has enabled the RedSail Patient Chart and signed a CPESN Service Authorization form.
This is a free upgrade for NRx® and PrimeCare® customers on Service Pack 19.1.34. Start the enrollment process today by emailing pharmacyservices@redsailtechnologies.com.
Reimbursement for COVID-19 Vaccine Administration
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has launched the COVID-19 Coverage Assistance Fund (CAF). The new, voluntary program provides reimbursements directly to eligible providers for claims associated with administering COVID-19 vaccines to beneficiaries whose health insurance does not cover vaccine administration fees, or does but typically with patient cost-sharing. See the program fact sheet here.

Hurricane season in the Atlantic began on June 1 and ends on November 30. It’s predicted to be an overly active season, so we encourage you to prepare now.
Here are some ways to be proactive:
Develop an emergency response plan if you don’t already have one.
Ensure you have an adequate drug supply and OTC medications on hand.
Have a generator in case of a power outage.
Be aware of your state laws in regard to prescription refills during natural disasters.
Here are a couple things to consider during the event:
Place electronics on high countertops in case of flooding.
Update your pharmacy’s IVR messaging if your store temporarily closes.
Natural disasters are unpredictable, but your response to them doesn’t have to be.
