Pharmacists Will Help Administer COVID-19 Vaccines
Pharmacists will be on the frontline when a COVID-19 vaccine is approved. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced earlier this month that pharmacists, and pharmacy interns, may administer COVID-19 vaccines approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to all individuals age 3 years and older.
Recently, Kurt Proctor, R.Ph., from NCPA®, talked about the HHS guidance on QS/1's QCompass podcast.
Community pharmacies across the country are looking for new opportunities to expand revenue for their businesses. With reimbursement rates decreasing, increasing competition, and other industry pressures, it is difficult to grow revenue by purely dispensing prescriptions. Clinical services, such as immunizations, help community pharmacies put patients at the center of care.

iQ Virtual Series: Recruiting Quality Staff
Recruiting quality staff has always been challenging for pharmacy operations. COVID-19 has only made it harder for pharmacy owners. Today's Live! Wednesday features Lou Ann Brubaker who begins a two-part session on helping pharmacies increase staff stability and then enjoying the financial and customer relationship benefits it provides.
Long before the pandemic, a majority of pharmacies were in a recruitment and retention crisis, and there’s little reason to believe things will get any easier. Pharmacies must re-evaluate every aspect of their outreach, interviewing, and hiring processes. New game, new rules. Increase focus on your culture.
If you have already registered for previous iQ Virtual Series sessions, there is no need to register again! If you have not registered, don't miss Live! Wednesdays on September 23 and 30. Register now at iqvirtualseries.com.
