It’s hard to grow revenue just by dispensing prescriptions. It can also be hard for patients to access the care they need. That’s why community pharmacies are becoming go-to providers of clinical care. QS/1 has created a hub to make it easier for our pharmacists to access helpful information on the subject with blogs, articles, events, podcasts and more!

QS/1 released Service Pack 19.1.32 for its pharmacy management systems. We encourage you to download and install it at your earliest convenience to receive the latest software enhancements. Here is a sample of what is included:
Specific Drug Scan Added the choice of which Drug Scan to use when changing a generic or brand drug during workflow. Added links, Change Drug and Change Generic, to the Verify Prescription screen in Label and Dispensing and Quality Assurance checks. The same links are also available if there is no match on the NDC.
Access to both links depends on the settings for Update Brand Drug and Update Generic Drug in Security Access > Prescription Access.
Hazardous Drug Label Routine Added label routines to print Hazardous Drug groups, if present, from the NIOSH Hazardous Drug fields on the Drug Record > Clinical Information screen. Routine 806 prints the verbiage HAZARDOUS DRUG, and routine 807 prints any entry from the NIOSH Hazardous Drug field (i.e., HD1, HD2, or HD3).
