The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is launching the COVID-19 Community Corps – a nationwide network of local voices people know and trust – to encourage Americans to get vaccinated and increase vaccine confidence as part of the next phase of its COVID-19 public education campaign.
The Community Corps was created to provide trusted messengers and consistent, fact-based public health messaging to help the public make informed decisions about their health and COVID-19, including steps to protect themselves and their communities. Anyone can become a Community Corps member, and members will receive weekly updates on the latest scientific and medical updates, talking points about the vaccine, infographics, fact sheets, and tools to help people get registered for an appointment and vaccinated.
