iQ Virtual Series Partners – Thank You
As the first series of iQ Virtual comes to an end, our vendor partners and Exhibit Hall have helped increase the value of this event, and we want to thank them for their commitment to progressive ideas and new exhibition formats, which they wholly embraced with the iQ Virtual Series.
Our participating vendor partners showed us their willingness to try something new and evolve. We thank them for their participation and encourage you, our customers, to connect with them in the Exhibit Hall during Series 2, starting August 5!
COVID-19: Emergency Product Service Identifier
NCPDP® is in the process of publishing an FAQ to help pharmacies bill for specimen collection of COVID-19 tests. The FAQ will be published with the newest revision of the NCPDP Emergency Preparedness Guidance v1.8 after the August Work Group. In the interim, NCPDP is sharing this important information with the industry to assist with the processing of COVID-19 tests.
A new Product/Service Identifier has been added to all compendium to be used when there is no product identifier on the product being used to collect the specimen.
NEW FAQ: Emergency Use Product Service Identifier
Question: When the specimen collection product does not have a product ID, what should be submitted as the Product/Service ID (407-D7) for a specimen collection claim represented with the Professional Service Code (440-E5) value of MA – Medication Administered (Specimen Collection)?
Answer: If there is no product identifier on the product being used to collect the specimen during a declared emergency, the Product/Service ID of 99999-0992-11 (COVID-19 Test Specimen Collection) with the Product/Service ID Qualifier (436-E1) of 03 – National Drug Code can be used.

MedGuide Gateway
To ensure labels and MedGuides print properly, check the following on the Client Connection screen in PrimeCare. Click Options > Web Services Gateway.
The IP Address in this field should be the IP Address of the secondary terminal that has the Web Services Gateway installed for MedGuides.
For example, the IP Address of the secondary terminal that has the Web Service Gateway installed for MedGuides is 10.0.100.12. In this case, all other clients in the pharmacy will need to have the address of 10.0.100.12. If they have any other IP Address, labels and MedGuides will not print.
