The next wave of NRx updates, Service Pack 50, is planned to launch in May 2025. Here are some of the key features you can look forward to:
Add Logic to Print Drug Image on Label: Pharmacies can print an image (if available) of the drug being dispensed on the vial or bottle label. This can be adjusted for height/width and users can select a preferred image when multiple options are available.
M3P Medicare Prescription Payment Plan – Phase 3: A new tab has been added to the D.0 Claim Payment Detail, allowing pharmacies to easily handle approval codes and payment details from third-party payers.
New Interfaces to Med-Pass and EZ-Pro eMAR: These new interfaces will allow pharmacies to send HL7 2.5 ADTs and orders outbound, using existing interface components.

What IS RedSail’s Hamburger Strategy?
Food for thought: When it comes to strategy, RedSail likes to think of it like a hamburger. Josh Howland, President of Pharmacy Management Systems, explains this concept in a recent episode of the Catalyst Pharmacy Podcast:
“We started joking, I don’t know, 6 years ago now, about what we were going to call the strategy. And we haven’t come up with anything better [than the hamburger]...The meat of that hamburger is the pharmacy management system” – whether QS/1, BestRx, PioneerRx, or Axys. Then you add the extras you want!
