EUA-labeled Paxlovid Not Authorized for Use after March 8
Per HHS, providers and pharmacists will need to cease dispensing Emergency Use Authorization (EUA)-labeled Paxlovid after March 8, 2024, because EUA-labeled Paxlovid will no longer be authorized for use after that date. The Inventory Worksheet by Bin as Of Date report template is now available! This will allow users to generate historic inventory reports as of a specific date if needed.
+Add Payment Status to Rx Queue Grids and Rx Advanced Search
The Payment Status column is now available on the Rx Advanced Search display grid and the Rx Queue grid layouts.
The pharmacy can now easily review the Click to Pay status of a prescription from various queues in workflow.
+Add GCN to Invoice Detail Report Template
The GCN and FriendlyFilter data fields are now available on the Invoice Detail Report report template, which can be generated from Ordering > Invoice Search.
Adding these fields to the report would help pharmacies see invoice cost comparisons among GCNs.
+Enhanced Cycle Fill Billing
The Cycle Fill Billing process was enhanced with the following new features:
On the Cycle Fill page, added a Billing Status column that will display either “In Process” or “Billed.” Billing Status will be blank if the cycle fill billing has not been triggered for the cycle.   
Added two new notification alerts when processing cycle fill billing:
The message “Cycle Fill Billing Triggered” displays on the Notifications area when a cycle fill billing has started.
The message “Cycle Fill Billing Complete” displays in the Notifications area when a cycle fill billing has been completed.
+Added Item Record Packaging Setting for Fills
Under Item Record > General Information, added the option for “Order Fill quantity can only be a multiple of the package size.” When checked, the prescription’s fill quantity needs to be a multiple of the item’s package size.
+Added Right-Click Close for Axys Tabs
Right-click close for Axys tabs has been added and has options for Close, Close other tabs, and Close tables to the right.

CVS and Walgreens Will Begin Selling Abortion Pills This Month
The pill mifepristone will be available with a prescription at pharmacy counters in a few states. Walgreens will start providing the pill within the next week in a small number of its pharmacies in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, and Illinois. CVS will begin dispensing in all of its Massachusetts and Rhode Island pharmacies in the weeks ahead.
Ohio regulators fined CVS Health more than $1.5 million over problems connected to understaffing and patient safety. The fines are part of a settlement of 27 cases involving various safety concerns that were uncovered during a series of inspections of 22 pharmacies between 2020 and 2023.
