+ Add Most Recent Fill Date to Compound Queue

The Most Recent Date Filled column is now available in the Compound Queue located at Workflow > Compound Queue. These fields will not be on any grids by default and must be added as needed where applicable.

+ Add Patient Legacy Number to Rx Advanced Search Grids and Rx Search Report Template

The Patient Legacy Number data field is now available on the Rx Advanced Search Expanded, Expanded With Comments, and Financial grid layouts. Pharmacies may reference the patient's Legacy Number to reference the patient record on their legacy software reports.

+ Click to Pay Available for All PioneerRx Pharmacies with RxLocal By Nov. 20

Currently, Click to Pay is available for some PioneerRx pharmacies. This feature offers the convenience of order prepayment, allowing patients to settle their bills on a mobile device before visiting the pharmacy. It also allows the pharmacy to collect payment for compounded medications or high-cost prescriptions before advancing workflow. While patients do not need to be enrolled in RxLocal to receive Click to Pay messages, the pharmacy must be using RxLocal to utilize this feature.

+ Updated Clinical Checking Options

Under Prescription Settings, added optional triggers for clinical checking to allow the pharmacy to manage how often clinical rescreens happen:

• On Drug-Drug Clinical Settings, added a checkbox for “Drug-Drug rescreens will trigger even when they are the only new warnings.”
• On Duplicate Therapy Clinical Settings, added a checkbox for “Duplicate Therapy rescreens will trigger even when they are the only new warnings.”

+ Added Linear Barcode Ability

Added linear barcode functionality to the following:

NCPA Introduces PBM Litigation Service TRUST LLC

The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) recently set up TRUST LLC, a legal entity that will potentially arbitrate or litigate PBM lawsuits on behalf of individual pharmacies, most of which could never afford to do so on their own. TRUST LLC allows individual pharmacies to pool their claims and hire the best attorneys in the country to represent them. NCPA member locations can join the trust for free.

More Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid Strikes Planned

In incidents scattered around the country, pharmacists have refused to go to work or walked off the job. There are signs that a larger strike is brewing, with more walkouts targeting large chains like Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid in early November. The pharmacists don't have a union, so there is no way to tell how many people might participate or how many locations could be affected.
